Spring Fundrive March 6-22

March 6-22, tune in for two weeks of extra great local programming. Hear special guests, live music, and lots of surprises. With your support we will raise $25K. Go community radio!

With your support, we will raise $25K for your favorite community radio station.

First, we have some BIG NEWS! As you know we plan to raise a new WGDR antenna on a new tower this May. This will finally add the valleys of the cities of Barre and Montpelier to our broadcast reach at 91.1 FM. For 53 years we've been barely static in these spots. Now, we will reach 20K more Vermonters - wow! The news is the FCC approved the construction permit, so it is game on for May. Now, we need to make sure the programming you love is ready to go too - and fully funded - through this spring fundrive.

To be ready to turn it up for this moment, we need your help to crush our $25K annual Spring Fundrive goal to keep our local programming rolling.

Plainfield, VT 05667. A gift today helps us continue to grow our listenership - on the air and online - so that more folks can have free access to local programming --- no paywalls, no subscriptions, no ads, AI, or algorithms.

• Donors of $53 of more get a limited edition sticker for 2026 and a printed copy of our new schedule!

• New sustainers of at least $10 or more (or $120 a year), get a CVCR travel mug, the sticker, and the schedule. That's less than a Netflix subscription!

• Donors of $250 or more, the sticker, the schedule, and get to pick anything they want from our swag store (there are new designs and swag this year).

All donors, no matter the amount, who give by March 22 will be entered to win prizes donated by Vermont businesses and organizations. These include tickets to shows like:

• A show at Higher Ground - Mike Gordon on March 30 or Cake on June 2

• A Bread & Puppet Banner

• A show at the Highland Arts Center - Jazz at the Lincoln Center Presents Great American Crooners on April 9

This fundrive, all our local shows will have their own show pages, with a goal to raise $91. If you love a certain show, let that programmer know it by donating to their page. You can also give to the station in general. Thank you!

‼️Fundrive Match Days & Shows ‼️

Double your impact by giving to the station when a match is running. Matches are larger gifts from friends of the stations, sponsors, or underwriters to help motivate donors to give on a certain day (kick us off or help us reach the final goal) or who are new to the station.

This spring, we have $7K in matches spread out across the fundrive.

• Kick Off Weekend Match from Underwriters: $1,375

• Sunday mornings 7-10am, "Curse of the Golden Turnip" Match: Up to $2,750 made possible by generous major donors.

• Newbie Match: Any new donor or new sustainer gift will be matched: Up to $1,250 from our generous CVCR Board.

• The Last Weekend Match from Underwriters: $1,375

Did you know, only 10% of listeners actually give to the station?! Make this the fundrive you start giving with. It will feel great!

• The biggest impact you can have as a donor on the station is to become a sustainer. Just like your streaming services, add your beloved community radio station to the mix for as little as $5 a month. Remember if you give online, "skip the tip to Give Butter!" That doesn't come to the station.

• Can’t afford to give. That’s ok! Please help spread the word and encourage your friends to give or help introduce us to new underwriters and sponsors! Learn more and how to give here.

Give securely by either:

1. When you give or pledge a check online you can leave us a message about your favorite shows or why you love WGDR & WGDH. This is what you hear programmers read on the air as part of our gratitude for you all!

2. Give online by credit card, PayPal, Venmo, or other digital wallet options. Click the box on the upper right donate button. Pick an amount or enter your own. Look for the tab at the top for "one-time" or "monthly." For digital gifts, when you complete the donation, you will be asked if you want to cover the credit card processing fee or us (optional!) and a tip (to GiveButter, the platform), that tip is optional and does NOT come to us. Click the drop-down box for that and choose "$0." to skip this tip!

3. Give by check, you can pledge on this online platform (so we know it is coming). Choose "check" and enter your information. Then, send that check made out to “CVCR” and mail it to WGDR/WGDH, 123 Pitkin Road Plainfield, VT 05667. Thank you!

CVCR Contest Rules
Anyone who donated online or by check dated during our Fall Fundrive, September 26-October 12, will be entered to win one of the incentive prizes donated from local businesses and organizations. You must donate during the fundrive dates to be eligible to win. Per station policy, no paid staff, programmers, volunteers, board, or contractors are eligible to win.
